The bass arrived yesterday afternoon. I finally got my hands on it when I arrived home last night. What an amazing instrument! Perfect intonation with no dead spots anywhere on the neck. Nice and light weight with very strong harmonics. Very easy to slap and pop if you are into that type of playing. Balance is also perfect, whether sitting down or with a strap. I couldn't be happier!

No bother mate, worth an ask. Perhaps Pete will chime in with one. Just interested in the neck joint :)
So glad these designs are being resurrected.

Eude
I can show the back of mine to give you a look at the neck joint.

Pete has just strung it up and it sounds amazing. It will be on its way to me next week and I am fully expecting to be blown away. Pete will have some killer photos for me to share by then, but for now I'll just add one of the front before it was strung up:

That Zia is the bomb. A 33" Zia from Pete will be my next build.
Years ago I play one of JP's Zia's with a 33" scale. It killed.
Great to see Pete has offered theses great basses again. Bravo.

Great to see these wonderful JP basses being so faithfully resurrected.
IMO, the elegance and beauty of the Zia is timeless; it'll never go out of style.

JP was always so passionate about his designs; and such a pleasure to deal with.
Likewise, I've heard nothing but great things about Pete and his artistry.
This collaboration seems like a perfect union between two meticulous craftsmen, with similar aesthetics.
I'm delighted to see it come to fruition.
Congratulations, and much success, to all involved.
