Official Lakland Owner's Group #16

Greg and E,
I was finally able to take some pics of Lakland Joe #90. Sounds unbelievable though I haven't had the time to play it that I would like. This is actually the second Lakland I have ever owned. The first was a Sherwood Green 55-94 Classic with a Tort pickguard that I sold it in a moment of insanity.

Sorry if I disrupted the thread.

Ryan:

don't apologies for a work of art!!! that is sweet! posts like yours are what this is all about!!!

BTW - make sure to bring it to the LOG GTG (May 23rd 1PM -????) at Lakland.....more details at: Link Removed or PM me (or GregC or Gecko 5).

Sherwood Green 55-94 Classic with a Tort pickguard hmmm??? sounds great! sorry you got rid of it...

Peace and welcome to the club!!!

Doug

yeah music royalties frommy bands songs and also from records i've worked on in the past.

I'm in the UK sorry dude, and I already own a fretless warwick thumb that I don't play enough already!

If I get another Lakland I may have to go to the distributor and play a few of them. I have a bob glaub already, an awesome 75 re-issue fender, a mm stringray 5, and a wariwkc corvette, so may go for something like the quirky decade!

Sweet!!

I will tell you - if you like the Decade style body you will LOVE the sound....I LOVE the sound...just cannot warm up to the body (I am one of the few hold outs!!!)

Get the double/single switchable humbucking pickups and you will have oodles and oodles of variety!!!

lol just saw this...talk about CS overload...

IS there such a thing as CS overload??? Markus - have YOU hit it yet? I KNOW I have not!!!

I'm loving that bass. Very cool, very cool.

Hi guys, I am soon to join you Lakland owners. Just ordered this one from Ed at BassCentral. Passive, with Lakland pickups. I think I want to put a preamp in it. Any suggestions?

Bjornar

i really liked the audere in mine, with the dj you would need to drill a couple small holes in the chrome plate, because of the shape.

or look for a j-retro that was in a dj.

other than those 2 im not sure what else would fit.

lately i am just using an aguilar tonehammer with my passive basses.

I heard back from Leo... natural skyline DJs are only available with the maple/black blocks combo. Now I really regret selling my old DJ.

I wonder if there's any chance of fivers.... What is that you ask? What's that sound? Oh, yes, it IS a broken record. Thanks for asking! A fiver in that config would probably be the only thing to console me as we await the fate of the LOG bass.
