yeah, evidently the pups still have to be made for the DJ5, so it's gonna be a few weeks before i get that one.
also will just have VVT controls and i'll have to consider whether or not i need to get a preamp for it.

what are the specs on it? It's a US right?
LeftHanded Darryl Jones US series Swamp Ash with Birdseye Maple,
white pearl Block Inlays,white pearl pickguard,gold finish and binding
on the neck(white),Hipshot D-Tuner and four strings.
...And chi-sonic pickups(passive)!

BTW - Ferg and his wife are fantastic poeple!!! I had a great time! AND - more importantly - I got out of San Fran with mt credit and my marriage intact (i.e. no Lakie purchases - although I was tempted several times!!!)

I am officially in..the UPS man brought this a couple of days ago.
I have not really had a chance to play much with a Lakland with the LH3 electronics. The Barts never impressed me much. This is WORLDS better. I am lovin it!

I agree - overall I like the LH3 better, BUT ( ....a BIG BUT....) I am finding I like "older" Barts....for example, Ferg's 4-76 was really sweet sounding!!! If it would have had 5 strings I would have thought about converting it to a fretless....

Matty - you are on the lookout for me!!! I saw that one go down with no bids a few days ago....I e-mailed the seller since I was going to be in Cali to see if he would take my 44-02 and some cash...no response.....(although I thought my cash + offer was reasonable).....
I would be all over that if I sold my fretless.....I WILL have a 5 string fretless by May 23rd - one way or another....

Yeah...I know...but his range is incredible! That guy should be in a hair band....OR..a band like Muse.
