Tried searching, now its time to ask the group.
I recently got a dj5 and am looking for a hard / soft shell case. Just wondering if theres any consensus on who makes a good case for Laklands. Thanks!
Pickguards are to Jeannies, as cases are to X.
What is X?

Holy schnikes! That is incredible, E. Obviously, I've seen the neck in person, and it does look even better. But it looks better still combined with that body! The wood, the chrome and the black all work together so well. Congrats!Unwrapped:

fingerboard - not a great shot, but you get the idea. Looks so much better in person
Couple more interesting pics....

Anyone know if this was going to be called the 5-54? Interesting...
And I'm keeping it passive, but curious what has been tried in this girl...

that is some pretty wicked grain. lol at the sticker.

that was straight out of the box. I wanted to get a few pics out of the way before I played for a while. I'll put one up "unwrapped" shortly.
Ummm yea. This bass is great. Looks great, sounds great, feels great. I played very very very briefly with the rounds on there. It makes me want to get it epoxied so I can put rounds on, but I'll wait until my p-bass comes in to decide for sure on that.
There is a bit of a flaw in the neck near the nut on the treble side. It seems like some finishing is missing or something. I'm not sure. I'll take a pic to send to the crew. It doesn't interfere with playing so I'm fine with it for now.
The body grain is fantastic and just what I wanted. The vintage tint is awesome. It sounds great with the flats... I don't know what else to say. I'm very happy. This could be my only bass and I'd be happy forever.
What's LOL about the sticker![]()
I thought for sure that my natural jo had the serial number like that in the pocket.
