I'm glad that sticker was there. I thought they gave me bogus import pickups until I saw that.. I was just in a rush to get pics taken so I didn't forget later while playing and teaching.

to think that I ordered this bass as an after thought and the long winding path taken to get the specs to what they are. So cool.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll stop hogging all of the LOG thread.
This is, without a doubt, a lifer.

EDIT
Oh, one last thing: This is now the unofficial "EM DJ" or the E-Mac signature bass. AC got his, but now it's time for the EM. Look out... OK, I'll stop.

very nice. :bassist:

I have a feeling a couple of people will be disappointed in me and my choices, but I have the full support of my wife and son (and he's the one that will get this one when I'm gone...).

i learned to stop worrying about what others think a long time ago. that's why i keep selling everything so fast, lol. i'm keeping my current 5 string non-usa lakland, though...as e-mac put it... "it's a lifer"

as long as you like it, that's what counts!! :hyper:

It arrived today. I won't get a chance to fire up the rig tonight, but love it unplugged! My first Lakland!

I'm also super excited about the weight. After looking at some that had sold in the TB Classifieds, it seemed to be a bit of variation in the weight. However, Brandt at the Perfect Bass was able to contact Lakland to confirm the weight on this one, 8.4#. Can't wait til practice next Wednesday with the new band. I think this is going to be perfect for it.

I got your back, man! Solid finish and pickguard is a classic combo! Just tell me what it is if you want my continued support.:D

Suh-weet! The HB is a beautiful instrument. And that might have been the one that was at the shop when we had the GTG three weeks ago--if so, I really really liked that one.

WOOHOO!!! Thanks man! It's down to a few choices. I've actually got about a week to decide, because I'm shipping it to Roger so he can route a new PG for it (since it's apparently a little different than the production models), then he will ship it to paint. I know I won't have an "Evan wait", but I will be completely bass-less for a couple of weeks. :(
