Bad News - My LMII died yesterday night at rehearsal, it took out many fuses including the slow blow inside, I think there must be a short in the power supply. Anyone else had this problem?

Good News - The UK importer and distributor (Proel) couldn't be more helpful, they're letting me take it direct to them rather than the shop I bought it from (Proel are much closer to where I live) and rather than let me dig out the receipt for the warranty claim, they've spoken direct to the shop and got their original shipping number from them to verify its age.

OK I'm bummed at the LMII's failure, but I'm delighted at the level of service I'm getting and reckon my head will be back in action very soon. I hope you guys in the US get this level of service too.

For anyone looking to buy Mark Bass in the UK, rest assured the distributor will be right behind you if there's any problem.

Anyway update on the dead LMII. Dropped off with the distributor late Friday afternoon, just got off the phone with them and it's fixed already, how brilliant is that? Duff power supply PCB apparently (I knew it'd be something like that).

While I'm here; I did finally get an MB F1.
So far, I couldn't be happier.
Fabulous tones, great power; mega-easy schlep...
It might just the best J-tone-machine ever.
One micro rig shot, and one just for hilarious juxtaposition...tho paired with the Henry it really is quite nice.

Can't really see ever needing more power than this thing has, and the available range of great tones might well de-throne a couple pieces of amp hardware.

Just had the most amazing day with Marco. Got to talk business as well as pleasure. He's got some super cool new digs. He moved to a larger place last September/October and is already filling the new space up. :D

BTW, we had a pretty huge aftershock this evening. First time I've ever actually felt such a thing. Lemme tell you, it's a freaky experience when you're on the 4th floor of a hotel, but I wasn't too worried because Pescara is only 60 years old as a city and the buildings around here were built to take stuff like this no problem.

This might be common knowledge (I haven't reviewed this whole thread recently), but I saw that Markbass is having a competition where the winner gets a Momark head with his/her choice of modules.

While I dont' bother with these contests, the cool information is that the prize will be awarded October, 09. That means a) the Momark is happening and b) it seems like it will exist toward the end of this year, although that probably means mid 2010 before we see it in the US.
