Ya know, I have had my F1 for well over a year now and I really never messed with the VLE at all. Until last night!

I typically set my F1 by boosting the bass around the 1:00 position, the VPF set around 9:00 and everything else set to 12:00 (or flat).

I had a fresh set of Sadowsky Blue label SS strings on my NYC Standard 5 and it was sounding very bright and clicky at the room I played. (F1 into an Epi UL2-410) I rarely use the VTC on my bass so I thought I would try the VLE on the F1 to see how that would work.

I set it around the 9:00 position and it cut the harshness out perfectly. There was plenty of definition and the right amount of high end to cut through the mix as it usually does. I cant believe I haven't tried it before???

Anyways, the story is after many months rockin' the Markbass F1 I am still finding things that I love about this amp!

Now, I am GASing to try the F500 for those sweet features missing from the F1. Bravo, Marco and team!

Just got back from GC and I got a killer deal on a NY604!
I added it to my MiniMark that I got earlier this year.

Sounds a lot more full now. I really like it!

I have the same rig and if you haven't done it yet, try putting the Minimark under the NY604 (oriented the same as you have it). I've done a couple of gigs that way and the difference was pretty blatant.

Hi Guys, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have 2 MB combos & absolutely LOVE them. A CMD 121P & a CMD 151P. The 15 I Purchased new 2 years ago, the 12 I purchased from a fellow TBer last spring. They both sound great....but the 12 seems to have lost it's tweeter. I've sent 3 support requests through the MB website & haven't gotten a reply.

Is this a common problem (the tweeter or possibly the crossover)?
If so is there an obvious fix? I've tried searching for a replacement online, but haven't had much luck.

Anyone?
Please?

Bill

Bill, you might try PMing Peter Murray, who is the Markbass rep here. I bet he could point you in the right direction.

Here's my mini Markbass/Accugroove rig. This thing is lightweight but super loud. ...

Are those the settings that you use?

When I tried out a LM II, I found it to be a little to honky with my Tri210L. I haven't plugged my LM III into it (or my Tri110) but figured it would sound the same. I'll have to move some speaker cables around next time I'm in the bassment.

2 inch tweeter, right? they're not common but keep looking...they're out there. but before you buy, check inside and make sure the tweeter is hooked up to the crossover. could be a loose wire.

Hi Gentlemen from the Lowend!

I wanted you opinion on the Markbass Little Mark TUBE Bass Amp Head. I played one at GC last week and it caught my attention. I want to know you thoughts.

James
Any specific questions? Its a wonderful amp, but we have to know what info you might need in order to be helpful.

Also, the TB search feature may prove useful to you. :)
