The F500, the NY 604 and the CL 152 are all expected in September, and the MoMark is planned for October.

I'm totally digging the MoMark on paper. It's so over the top with all the choices. I'd love to try it out sometime, though I'm so totally happy with my LMII and combo that it's probably wasted on me. But it's a fantastic idea.
Happy camper. I could be heard loud and clear with a Marshall Amp and Drums in the mix. I love this thing!
Neat thing I just learned about my LMII--
At band practice I was playing my LMII at 4 ohms with 2 cabs and the power surged or something and the power amp just politely turned itself off. The rest of the amp was still on and the preamp was getting signal (clip light worked), but the power amp just powered down. I turned the amp off, took a 10 minute break and turned it back on and it worked perfectly all night.
Come to find out from Peter Murray that this is due to a protective circuit within the amp. Isn't that cool? It knows how to save itself and the speakers! Some of you guys might've already known this but I didn't. Pretty darn cool for a 500w, great sounding amp at all of $650 (or so).

Yep, found that out quite a while ago. Very nice feature. You probably didn't need to wait that long to power it back on.
Between sets do you turn the LMII off or just turn the bass, gain or master down.
I'm used to having a mute button which I just pushed in so that when I returned to the stage all I had to do was disengage it, and I was set to go. This was on a tube amp so the tubes stayed warm.
Will turning on and off a solid state amp between sets do any harm to the amp, or is it better to let it just idle in the on position.

I dont think it really matters. However, if you use a tuner/mute pedal such as the boss TU-2, you'd probably be happiest.
I either mute it with my Microbass II or turn the volume down. The only time I miss having a mute switch is when I tune, but otherwise, I don't see it as a big deal.
FYI, my local Guitar Center had a couple of the Little Mark carrying bags in stock the last time I was there. And by had a couple I mean they only have one now...

I played a Mark Bass unit this weekend. I was pretty pleased- light weight, decent sound, and of course, yellow. I was amazed at this little 1*12 unit and something like 500 watts. I wonder how this little one would really handle a loud gig with it's 500 watt rating. I played a 2*10 combo with same rating, and I would feel perhaps more comfortable running that one hard if/as needed.
None of us are getting any younger, and this might be the combo amps I eventually move to, just because of light weight and volume abilities alone. I still like my Bag End and Alembic stuff for sound, but the Mark Bass stuff seems like a good possibility.
Consider me a fan.

Just got back from talking to my local dealer, hes getting the full Mo-Mark sales demo rack as soon as they come up (he shifts more MB than anything else now, and was putting them forward as the next great thing in bass way back, maybe three years ago so he's really tight with the MB guys).
He's dead chuffed about it.
He's going to build his dream amp, consisting of input gain, master vol, and thats it....
He plays a P with the tone unwired, just straight through, its his idea of perfect.
This will be a defining piece of kit I think. If the module prices are reasonable its going to be a very addictive thing buying those different pieces to suit different tonal goals, all those people saying whats an LMII with a valve in it like will be able to find out really fast!

I don't turn mine off, it never made sense to me to do that with a SS amp on a gig. Might as well leave it at it's operating temperature. I just turn the gain down and unplug. I typically go frm my DI to the house and this doesn't cause a problem. Using the DI you don't want to turn power off.
I like the fact that my LMII runs cool. That impressed me as a sign of a good design, especially considering the output.
