I think the 7400 only has speakon jacks. I've had a 7200 for a number of years. Very reliable. Nice tonal range.
Needs two cabs to compete with a loud drummer.
Marshall is no longer making bass amps and cabinets. They referred me to Eden, which they identified as their sister company, for my equipment needs.
I know they have bought Eden, but when I have visited the Marshall factory last summer, they did not tell anything about the end of the bass products.

I hear ya! Needless to say, I was disappointed as well. Not to throw salt on a open wound, but here's how I got my information.

I thought so. I recently bought an Eden cabinet, my very first one from Eden, and I saw the reference to Marshall in the literature. For what it's worth, I purchased your 450H head and the 450H combo that has the 4x10 cabinet. Great stuff. And now a collector's item. Thanks for getting back with me.

The MB line was cheap crap, but I was hoping their response to its failure would be to come up with something better (i.e. a true successor to/reissue of the VBC line).

As far as I know he is still with Marshall...My guest is he will always be.

My experience with MB was pretty good. I had a 450 head with 410/115 cabs. It's was a nice setup that covered a wide range of tone. I especially liked the modern/classic blend dial. I'm not sure why they weren't more popular.
I only went away from it was because I basically stole an Ampeg SVT. Once I heard my P-Bass through that, I was done with the amp selection issue.
The MB line was good for what it was. Made in Asia good value for money which was the purpose.
The VBA line was the high quality professional amp for serious musicians. I understand that you change for the Ampeg SVT cause it's what Ampeg does best. If you try one day a VBA 400, you will understand how good it is and you may want to change your amp again.
Question for the VBA400 guys....
Did or does your VBA400 head have feet on the bottom? Did it ever?
Mine doesn't and the reason I ask is that I am considering getting a bass holder that locks onto the handle of my NV610, sits on top of the cab, with the head on top of that.
I don't think that holder would work without space between the head and cab.
Also, would installing feet on a head that is without create any kind of issue?

I'm pretty sure my VBA-400 has feet as it locks into place the recessed foot holes on top of my VBC-810 cab.
Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to source some decent rubber feet then...

Hi Marshallheads. My amp for 25 years has been a 1971 marshall 1986. No mod cons, just sweet bass sound into a couple of celestions and a box of modern deep end stuff from GK. Great to find a place for people in the know.
