i just received two NOS 5751 tubes! IMO, worth it! RCA black plate in v1 is like letting out just a bit of air in the Lamborghini's tires. Still a responsive rocket, but cushions the overall ride just a bit. Gets crunchy around 2:00 now instead of 9:00. Experimenting with a 5751 in v2, has benefits there as well. CV4004's were highly recommended, but out of my price range unfortunately.

Good to know! That's more or less what I was hoping would happen with the 5751. Are you losing any overall output, or is it about the same?
How could one tell? I couldn't get the thing dimed before without destroying everything!

Also, if I'm gonna start posting in here, I suppose I should give some proof that I'm allowed! Here's a shot of my bass corner. I also have a little Orange Crush amp for my short scale six string piccolo basses, but I didn't feel like moving it into the shot...
When I swapped in JJs for the stock tubes I noticed a marked drop in overall output.
I believe that yes, the amp is a high gain monster, but part of the reason for such high output is the very high gain stock tubes.
I didn't like the drastic drop in volume (or gain) so I put the stock tube back in V2, but kept the JJ in V1. Lower gain, very smooth, but still grinds.

mine came with cheap unmarked (likely chinese) tubes.
I doubt any have come from the factory with JJ's. Did you get it second hand, or maybe the shop you bought it from upgraded it?
Bought new with warranty, it was a factory refurb from an authorized dealer. I had read that they came with Rubys, and was surprised it had JJ's inside!

Saturday night the band we were opening up for offered up their equipment to save setup time. Guitar players got Hughes & Kettener amps and I got an Orange Terror 500 with the 212 Iso cab. I have to say I was incredibly impressed by the amp. I wish the cab would have been a couple feet higher off the ground, but the tone was pretty amazing. Not sure how much was the amp or the cab, but I loved the crunch and punchiness. Sweet amp. Thats all. 
I don't know if it was an in-store upgrade, but mine also came with JJs stock... this thing still has monster output on it

I think it's both; the amp totally has that character, and they voiced those cabs with the intention of accentuating it
They complement each other really well. I used to play a TB500 into a TC electronics 4x10 and it was great. But when I got the OBC410 it was obviously a better match. Not that the other cab was bad, it is just that Oranges are designed with a sound in mind.
funny to see that the majority owns the Bass terror. Is like creating a ESP Club and most people post a LTD bass :-D
I disagree, This is the official "Orange" club and all members have presented an Orange product. I also admin the Fender Jaguar Club and there are no Squier allowed, but here I see nothing against the rules.
LTD is a brad under the ESP umbrella, but not ESP. Like Epiphone is not Gibson and Squier is not Fender even if they are daughter companies. Orange is orange, regardless of price tag.
If your rig is a micro crush, I wouldn't hesitate to give you a number.
??? What's wrong with the Terror Bass? Is this some sort of snobbery? The AD200B is out of reach for most people.
