Are the OBC 8x10 and 4x10 cabs sealed or ported? Musicians friend says the 8x10 is ported but a reviewer of the cab said it was sealed. Can't find any info on the 4x10 at the moment.
Normally will run my BT1000 through two of the older SP-212s but also have used it with Aguilar Gs212 and 112 as well as a pair of Ampeg SVT 210AVs. It really seems to be my go to head in most situations.

I have used my terror for 5 1/2 years now ,no complaints and the DI works a treat.
The OBC115 is a fabulous cab it just sounds right with my terror head but the SP212 is handy if space is a premium and it sounds a lot bigger than you would think.

I'm thinking the 810 is sealed and the 410 is ported. But..... I know not for certain

It's here!!! My initial thoughts with the first 10 minutes of playthrough on my jazz bass and single coil p bass:
It's got serious low-end. more than my genzler that I just sold .it may be my cab too, it tends to be on the "boomier" side of things .one thing I did notice is that the mid controls seem affect all of the others. That, or its more of a low-mid control. I notice when I had the mids around 3 o clock, the bass knob seemed to change it characteristicas than it does when mids are set to noon .
I'm loving the tone of this amp though. It sounds very organic and doesn't color my sound too much. I may add a slight overdrive in front to dirty it up though. I have the gain set at 11 o clock and the volume at 9, and it's pretty clean sounding, but has a great vintage style tone. I'm really loving it! Exactly the tone I was going after. It loves my pedals too! Especially the darkglass x7 and my germanium fuzz .
UPDATE: Decided to try my genzler 1x12 that im selling, and its significantly less boomy, so that definitely leaves the 2x12 to cause the boominess, not the Terror bass. I might try an isolation pad to set the cab on to help with the room vibrations. Maybe even a high pass filter so I can tweak it based in the room.
I really am loving this amp. I can't wait to hear it in a band setting (once I find a new band to play with)

The TB controls are based on the AD200B. with the controls at noon, it gives you not a flat curve but one with a mid dip.

for anyone who cares, my new terror bass has a Ruby 12AX7AC5 tube in it. Figured I'd share and save someone the time from opening up the amp to see what kind of Ax7 was used.
Also I noticed there's an internal trim pot named "LIMIT" on the control board. I didnt want to mess with it and screw anything up. Any idea what this controls?

Hiho the old terror flat setting was bass-9oclock,middle-12oclock,treble-12oclock can,t remember the frequency points but this the setting I use.They love a pedal in front of them.I use a BDI21 all the time even when ampless straight into the board.
Never read that anywhere. In fact, when Bass Gear Mag reviewed the original TB500 many years back, the graphs of flat response they published were using: (The original TB1000 would be the same)
50Hz - bass - min
650Hz - mid - max
4kHz - treb - min

Also, more contact area with the Speakon, beneficial and recommended when running over, say, 400 watts.
