The Terror has its own beauty. I did a side by side compare between the Terror 500 and the AD200 into the same 810 Orange cab, I saw no difference between sound quality or preamp tone/definition. The Terror actually had slightly more gain in the preamp. It just depends if you want the maintenance and weight of an AD200, or the simplicity of the Terror. I chose the Terror and 2- SP212 cabs, I have lugged around enough tube heads in my day, sound is what matters, they both got it!:bassist:

Same with me from the classic ampig and 8x10,marshall and 2 cabs and various others over the years then discovered roland which I still have and wonderful combo it is.
But I discovered the terror and sp212 cab.
It does the lot in a small package.I still marvel how so much comes from such a small outfit and wish I had this years ago.
I will get another sp212 but I,ll have to save up.
Funny how the sp212 cab raises so much controversy.
I just used my ears when a/b some heads and cabs and the terror and cab won the day.
It suits me which tells it,s own story and looks funky as.

I wouldn't say it is a do all amp. I still primarly use my SWR heads, they are more agressive and have a much wider tone pallet. But they are larger, and sometimes you want the old school sound of the interactive pasive tone stack over the active eq. Orange gives that fat round tone that is just right for some music and bands enviroments. The SP212 kicks out some serious bottom end which matches it well, but the Terror sounds killer through a 212 SWR cabinet too, you get crispness that hides in the SP.

I've had my Terror Bass 500 for a few months now and all i can do when playing it is grin. I had paired it with an ampeg pf115 cab for a while but finally got a proper setup with a 2x15...this amp is just amazing.

If you don't mind, send me your spec too. I would like to give it a shot as well. Here is a cabinet I made for my SWR Redhead.
