If it was registered there should be a 2 year warranty on it. I can honestly say that if my Terror Bass broke down, I would definitely look into getting it fixed again. That's how much I love this amp. But that's just me.
I feel the same way. I have been a total Ampeg fan girl for close to 50 years until I found the Terror Bass and those two 12" lightweight cabs. The tone is unmatched, and even an old lady like me can carry everything to a gig without breaking a sweat.
It's new enough to be within warranty. But it is dead to me now. I'm not totally souring on Orange, and may consider a replacement with a Little Bass Thing.
I can’t tame my terror bass. I love it and it’s loud as hell. Do you guys have settings to make it break up? I got it to break up somewhat but I was playing a P bass with flat wounds...flats aren’t my thing.
In your picture, you have both the gain and Bass maxed out. If I did that with mine, I don’t know exactly what would happen, but I do know it would be totally fuzzed out, probably to the point of total unintelligibility. One of my basses is louder than the other, and the amp will start breaking up before I get to noon on the gain dial. The other one takes a little more to get to that point, but I still can’t imagine turning the gain all the way up. I also can’t imagine turning the bass knob past noon or so. But maybe we’re looking for something different. Oh yeah, turn the pad off.

Also, keep in mind the tone stack isn't flat with the dials at noon. Bass and Treble are Boost only, Mids are cut only. So, flat (or as “flat” as an Orange goes) would be something like Bass and Treble at 7 o'clock or so, Mids at 5 o’clock. While in the pic, you’re pretty much boosting everything as far as the amp goes, which makes reining it in difficult.
Ok, so my TB is gone and I have an LBT in its place.
To be honest, the LBT is more versatile and feels more robust. It doesn't get as gnarly as the TB, but it still has most of the signature Orange sound and is just as loud. The sweepable mid range is a huge bonus, and the optical compressor is decent.
If I had found the LBT first, I would have been perfectly satisfied. It is a great replacement. But, I am still a little bitter that the TB failed.

If the LBT is similar to the 4 Stroke, and I do believe it is, it should be a really good sounding and versatile amp.
I was using my 4 Stroke last night with a Sterling Stingray HH and man it was just pushing me to keep playing more. I'm still really happy with that amp.

Pretty basic for me. Usually mid about 3:00, or all the way up, bass off or up to about 9:00, treble off. Enough gain for some fur, around 11:00 to 1:00.

Out of the OB1-300, Little Bass Thing, and Terror Bass, which one would you guys recommend for doom/stoner metal with a few pedals? I've heard some people say the TB has a mid-scoop that would create mud with my fuzz pedals. I would probably pair it with 2 OBC112s.
The Terror Bass only has a mid scoop if you run it straight up at 12:00. If you set it to about 9:00 on bass and treble and 3:00 on mids, you'll have plenty of mids.
With that said, if you are going to run pedals I would say the LBT. No pedals I would say the Terror Bass or OB1. Those 2 amps get plenty of crunch without pedals IMHO.

After having had a TB and a LBT in very recent times, I would agree that the LBT is somewhat more pedal friendly and the sweepable mid range control is very useful.
The TB is a fantastic standalone amp.
Doesn't the TB500 have the same pre amp as the AD200B?
My AD200B, I used last night, and I took note of my (mostly left totally alone) EQ settings.
Master volume flat out.
Gain - to suit my volume needs.
Bass- 3/10
Mids- 8/10
Treble - 2/10.
Awesome tone, and matching our acoustic drums level, just a lovely amount of break up when I played hard, clean when I played softly.

I have owned all three amps (The OB1 in 500 watt version and the original run of Terror) and it depends on which pedals you are using. If they are just dirt, I would go in this order;
OB1
LBT
TB
I like the TB, I haven’t tried the new ones, but the original was not as pedal friendly as my AD. The OB1 and the LBT are both great with fuzz and the dirt on the OB1 works great direct out of the D.I. it is definitely hairier out of the box. For doom and stoner, you don’t need anything else as the OB1. The LBT is very portable, the D.I. is great and the LBT definitely plays better with modulation pedals than the other two. The compressor is also a delight, you can create monster tones with it. It’s a bit Hi-Fi sounding, so it’s good for modern metal tones too.
