Official Orange Club II

Rickenbacker an Orange is a pairing made in heaven. Since I got my Rick, I have kind of neglected my other basses. Not that they don't sound great, it's just the creaminess...

I really like the 4003s. Now I think I might be on the hunt for a good deal on a Fireglo 4003s.

I also plan to pick up a pair of the Orange OBC-115 cabs for a full Orange stack. I do love a good 2x15.

I only need an OBC810 and I'm done!

I only need an OBC810 and I'm done!

So I am internally debating cab colors. I moved my used Orange AD200B head, and bought a brand new one in black. My idea was to get one that matches my LDS cabs better. Now that I'm looking at adding the OBC-115's, I'm torn. Should I go for black cabs, or should I go for the classic orange for a Orange and Black scheme. The all black would be classic and pretty sexy, thought those bright orange cabs are pretty sexy too.

What color is that Ric? I had a '80-'81 4001 a few years ago and didn't love it. But I love the 4003sw a lot, and think when I get my next Ric it'll be another S-series.

I definitely like the orange Orange better, but I got a great deal for my black AD and now I am sold in combining black and orange, it has something spicy.
I had to choose though, I'd have everything done in purple Tolex.

We should start a new club, all Rics and Oranges.

Count me in!

I don’t think there is a more suitable picture to describe “rock and roll”

So I should thank you guys for how the rest of today transpired.

Years ago I sold that Greco Ric and have regretted it ever since. Well posting that photo made me decide to go find another one. I don’t have overly high hopes as they are rather scarce in this part of the world.

Anyway a few hours after making a wanted ad I am contacted by the guy I sold that particular bass to. Apparently he still has it and it is just sitting around. He told me he is very up for being convinced to sell it back to me...

So looks like that photo is going to be a reality again.

:D

Congrats!

I bet that Gibson sounds great thru it too

It does. Since I was not using it much, I have it tuned drop C now, it's a beast!

Purple would be awesome!

Would be a dream come true. So I have been debating myself if I get an OBC810 and get done with it or if I get a custom made cosmic purple Cosmic Terror Obelisk, which cost roughly the same.

My Terror Bass Mk II is toast... I am no idiot and I can normally solve most issues by myself, but this amp refused to work reliably.

Given the relatively low cost of these amps, getting a technician to troubleshoot the issue would cost me more time and money than I care to pay. Better to write it off and get a new amp.

Bitterly disappointed because it sounded amazing. I won't be getting another TB500.

That's sometimes the problem with class D amps, they seldom fail, but when they do, it's not worth it to repair them.

How old is the amp? Any chance of a warranty repair/replacement?
