Finally found a pair of used OBC115's to match with my AD200B that didn't break the bank, although they might break my back at 65lbs LOL
Not much better than two OBC115's! With any amp head. Nicely done!
Congratulations on a killer rig. I would strongly suggest putting some casters on the bottom cab. It will make a huge difference in moving that stack around.

What caster wheels would you recommend?
I got some with a narrow base that I was able to screw onto the skids from Home Depot. Other ones would have to be screwed onto the cabinet.
Used to run the same rig, it sounded monstrous, it had lots of heft for my grunge and stoner outfit. Unfortunately, I had to move to 10s when I transitioned to a more "modern" sounding band.

It could be this question has been covered a few times, but I haven't found it with a quick search. With the orange Terror 500, is it practical to switch between the low gain and high gain setting on a gig? I hear there is a volume jump between the two settings, so I'm wondering if people have had luck with that. Or do most people who need to switch just use a separate pedal and leave the gain lower on the amp?
I would use a pedal for this. If using the amp itself, there will be a pretty big change in volume. A preconfigured pedal would be a easier especially if you don't want to change amp settings on the fly.
With two 1x15 orange cabs… would that be loud enough for a modern Scorpions/Megadeth sound? Returned the 4x10 as it was too heavy to move on my own.
One other question: Is it true that the DI on the Orange Terror 500 is post EQ and volume only? Pretty sure heard this in a youtube demo. To me this sounds like a less than ideal setup if true.
It is. I was concerned about the same thing but I actually like the setup. That tubey Orange sound comes through the PA.
Do you feel the need to warn the sound guy if you adjust the volume? Just a bit awkward, but I guess no worse than when they mic the guitar amp.
Not yet. I usually set a little louder than I think it should be, then adjust with my hand while playing. Only done three gigs like this with no issues so far. I could se it being an issue if you make extreme EQ changes. Any decent sound person should be prepared to adjust anything on the fly. What I really like is when I dig in or back off and get that reaction from the TB preamp it comes through the PA. Pre EQ it was more normalized. So I feel like I have more control of the final sound.
The post EQ DI almost kept me from buying the amp. I guess my impulsiveness has finally paid off?
Question for the Orange amp owners. If I buy two 1x15 cabs (400 watts, 8 ohms) will they combine to 800 watts 4ohms?
Is there any big benefit bumping up to 4ohms?

If you are using a Solid State amp, you'll get more power from the amp. If you are using an all tube amp, you'll get no more power and you'll have to make sure you a either connected into the 4ohm jack, or impedance switch is in the 4ohm position
Nice. Then you'll get the max output of that amp, 800W? You will be at the max capability of that pair of cabs as well.
Yes, the BB802 is 800 watts. So with the two speakon connectors on the Quilter.. you go from one into the first 1x15 and the second speakon spot into the second 1x15 correct? You don't daisy chain? It's sorta unclear on Orange's website since their diagram doesn't show the 1x15.
