Nothing at all. The pan pot is a separate board. The eq section just hasa signal in, out, and power. Easy peasy

The cavity is VERY small tho. I had to place the EMG stuff in the first and third hole, to make it fit. The middle hole is just a dummy pot, holding a knob. My own personal "producer control"...
I've decided that I want to try the saddle mod with my fretless at least. Do you know what model Spector the saddles came out of? Then I can start searching for them.
Spector parts, not steinberger parts. Those saddles came off a bridge I have in my parts drawer.
I've given up on the synapse. Sold the bridge to a guy in Canada. I used the headpiece on my Frankentele project. I'll likely sell the husk one of these days.

Ok, I have the saddles. I just pulled the backplate off my fretted five and see the piezo bridge simply unplugs, so the change should be simple. I'll report back.
The saddles are in and roughly intonated. The height adjustment screws are almost maxed out, so I think I'm going to make a shim plate to fit in the tray of the bridge - maybe out of brass since it's dense and workable. I also have an EMG BTS System and an EMG-VMG on the way.

I've owned my Synapse for a little over 2 years now and it's officially become my go to tour bass, it's lite, it's got great tone and it looks stealthy.
Love the fat meaty lows this thing throws out, and the cheeky high-ends to compliment.
The strap hook is handy and the thing balances evenly and comfortably.
x2 9volt batteries are a bit pricey and it's a bummer that it don't have a passive setting.
Digging the regular strings option but I'm sticking to the double ball ends simply because I don't trust the locking screws that hold the strings in place, and I've read somewhere from some that after some continued usage, their locking screws completely shattered or cracked whilst tightening to lock the strings in place.
I designed a foam insert (completely removable) to fit my Synapse and had it laser cut and sized to fit inside a special road case manufactured by a case company in Australia.
I purposely made to fit snug for foam loosens and gives over time, the angles and height dimensions, detail measurements are perfect (they better be for I measured the thing).
Added two extra narrow slots for accessories (using the width of my Boss Tuner as reference) but I purposely missed one for strings because I think it would've weakened the bulk of the padding if another wide recess were cutout close to the body cavity... maybe I'll measure a string recess compartment for version .02.
Because the bass is headless, the whole case is the complete length of a standard guitar case, so no added length.
It's great that there was a soft carry bag case type thing included with my Synapse but honestly, that thing ain't protecting s**t and some airlines are getting strict with certain carry-on luggage sizes and types.
It's the only prototype out there and it's done my Synapse proud on international tours such as Tahiti, EU, UK, USA, Canada, Aus, NZL, Brazil, Hawaii for over two years.

Agreed, very nice case - I have a pair of the Gibson HSCs but much prefer what you did there!
So it would appear Status Graphite no longer is making double-ball 5-string non-round-wound sets (DAMNIT!!!!!). They had great tape-wound and flat-wound sets at a reasonable price, now you can't find either. Anyone know anywhere that might have some new sets of these warehoused who would be willing to sell them?
