Just contributing to the Tune love. I’ve wanted one for years and randomly found this one in a Canadian pawn shop for only $300 CAD! It beat out my old Yamaha TRB 6 bass from day one. Looking to get a TWB-63 now...

Thanks! It's a 2011 South Korean TWB-53. I love this thing! I needed a little love: bad battery wiring, new knob caps, and a full setup. Nothing that I knew I couldn't do my self. I live in the US so I got the sweet CAD to USD conversion as well. After buying the bass, new knobs, fresh strings, and a brand new Gator case, only a $500 USD investment. It's so sensitive, articulate, and punchy! I can left hand tap up by nut and it's nearly as loud as normal playing! Also way lighter than my Yamaha TRB 6. I knew that these were nice basses, but holy crap! I'm already planning on getting a TWB-63 to get me back up to 6 strings.

It's actually pretty funny. The day I bought it, my wife and I were in a few other music stores and I was joking about how I only play 4 and 6 string basses. Later that afternoon, I walk into a pawn shop and see this thing ON SALE, marked down about $200! When my wife saw me playing it she immediately said "So, you're buying that right?"

Great score on that bass! Those black knobs look like ones I thought of for my Bassmaniac. They look great on yours, so maybe I'll pick them up.

And an understanding wife is a treasure indeed. Glad for both of us on that account!
