Look at Lakland - they changed to making their own p'ups and I've read very few complaints (though I love the barts in *my* lakland) - So why not Zon (but I love the Bart soapbars in my Sonus 5...)
No time- that's a huge undertaking.

DR fatbeams. I find hi-beams too zingy; Fatbeams remind me of old Roto '66's but last longer and don't have the rough feel.
Details, man! We need DETAILS!
Hey Jon... here you go. A lot of this is from the ad.
* Built last July
* Alder body with Myrtle top - matching headstock.
* Pickups are placed just a little closer to the bridge to give it added punch.
* The controls are volume, blend and stacked bass/treble.
* It does not have a mid-range control because the pickup placement makes it unnecessary.
I talked to Joe about it before jumping on it and he says it has a very unique voice. VERY Jaco-ish with the bridge solo'd and very jazz-bass-ish with the neck pickup soloed.
Somehow I knew that bass would get your attention when I saw it posted in the TB classifieds.
Congrats.
The NAMM show was particularly "expensive" for me this year. I'm starting a new project with Joe. That's all I'm saying for now, but once some selections have been made, I'll share pics as soon as I have them.
Film at 11... sorta'...![]()
If you get a TJ6, you'll have a whole set.
Congratulations.
Score!

Angus, any idea when Bart is going to get some Vinny pickups to Zon? A bunch of us are slowly losing our minds waiting.
I know they had issues. I just want to know when.
Thanks!
Here's some cuts from an album recorded, I believe, entirely on a VB4. Killer tone.
