In all seriousness, I hate slapping and never do it, so I would be the wrong person to ask. But given that, to my ears, everything sounds better now, and there is more tonal flexibility, I don't see why it would be any different. If you like slapping on Zons normally, you'll still like it now.
Going from Polyfusion to East is not a huge color change, as it would be from, say, EMG to Bartolini. Just more sculpting options to get exactly what I want out of the instrument.
