Official Zon Club Part 5

While we're on the subject, I'm looking to rejoin the club after some years being Zon-less. I've basically got 90% of an idea of what I want to do. Basically a fretted Sonus 4 with the narrow style pickups. One of my "open items" is in regards to the neck joint. I've owned both the bolt-on and set-neck Zons but they were fairly different animals so it's tough to make any comparison. One was a bolt-on Sonus Special 5. The other was a custom animal similar to Michael Manring's set-neck Sonus 4 fretless with the two wide pickups in the "special" position.

I know the web site says the bolt-on tends to be punchier and the set-neck tends to sound more open. Any more feedback from anyone experienced with both? Probably close to that time where I need to call Joe to hammer out the rest.

Hey fellow Zon fans! Just a heads up, there was a scam for a Hyperbass on the CL that I fell for. I doubt it will come up again, but you never know.

Okay Mr. Bowlus here's a quick shot of my Legacy Elite IV that just got shipped out today and expected to get this Thursday or Friday.
Now the bummer thing is somebody forgot to add the Koa head cap to the headstock, I could send it back to Zon but I'm worried it would be another 4 to 5 months to get my bass back so I'm just blowing it off.
So here's a quick shot that was sent to me before being shipped out.

Wow, that looks fantastic! If it plays anywhere near as well as my 4-banger, you are going to LOVE it! Congrats!

Did they charge you for a matching headstock?

It was previously ordered with the matching headstock, I'm not sure what happened but everything got worked out. it still would have been pretty cool with the matching headstock, look at Tom Bowlus's Zon Legacy Elite 4 string- an absolute work of art.
I can still have it done but the wait time to get it back would just kill me.
Anyways I'm still pretty happy though, the bass looks KILLER!!!!
