I did a 3-hour classic rock gig with it last night. The bass sounded great and was pleasure to play. I got a lot of compliments on the sound and on the bass itself. My chain was Zon bass --> Zoom

I used the bass last night for a 3-hour classic rock gig. It was a small (about 150 person capacity) outdoor venue, we played on a wooden stage the owners of the restaurant/bar built on the property. The bass sounded great and was a pleasure to play. I got a lot of compliments on the sound and on the looks of the bass itself. Everything on the bass was set flat except the low-mids, they were boosted to the max. The sound chain was Zon bass --> Zoom B3 multi-effects (bass driver --> OptiComp) --> LMIII (flat settings) --> Mark Bass 2x10.

Joined the ZON Club a while back, I've only ever seen a handful in The Netherlands and I'm proud to own one of them:

This one is a 1988 one, active electronics but it's just two volume and two tone controls.
It's had a rough life, some knocks here and there and the tuner 'rings' are busted, so they turn quite heavy...

Me too! They said it was 'heather' , but it's just grey to me.
Got it in a trade with a Warwick 5 string that was battered and bruised. I think I shouldn't complain about that ....

Anyone have any idea what the value of these basses might be?

I had some mods done to both of my TJ5s a couple of months ago and I finally took some pics today.
TJ5 fretted: Put Gotoh GB350 ultralite tuners in, had the fingerboard extension sawed off, had the original Polyfusion preamp reinstalled, put in a three-way pickup selector switch, and all three pickups wired to work properly again.
TJ5 fretless: Put Gotoh GB350 ultralite tuners in, had the small side dots that were in the "wrong" place covered up and had larger glow-in-the-dark Luminay dots put in the "right" place (directly under the lines at the correct point of intonation, like on an unlined), fingerboard leveled so the lines are easier to see again.

The fretless side dots now being in the right place makes such a difference. All my fretlesses the past decade or so were customs that I ordered with the dots under the lines, so trying to play with small side dots in the wrong spot has been a pain in the butt. Thankfully (?) my last couple bands fell apart so I had no need to play it in front of anyone other than for a single practice. The Luminlay glows really well as well.

Beautiful Legacy! Hard to tell in pictures between walnut and goncalo alves sometimes, but given the age (based on the bridge), I'd guess that's goncalo alves. I remember them saying it is their favorite sounding wood for Legacy's.

The GB350s are direct replacements, and are great tuners!
