It sure is. I played it Sunday, and it was on. I'm enjoying the 34" scale and smaller body too. 519's sound great, but always felt a little big to me. This one is just right.

I just picked up this 1990 Legacy Elite w/ Goncalo Alves top here in the Classifieds. My pics doesn't do it justice, it is really nice in person. It was very well taken care of and sounds just awesome!

It's got an extender key on the E string and a Hipshot style A bridge. Body is one piece of flamed maple; makes for a very bright, responsive tone.

Here is my submission for the Zon club. Walnut front and back with maple in the middle. This one has the Villex passive mid control in it. There is a passive treble control inside the cavity as well.

So it`s a Custom Sonus 4/1 right ?
Well kind of I suppose. The 4/1 is alder and maple and has duncan pickups with a bart active pre. This one is california walnut on the front and back with a layer of maple in the middle with a completely passive system with a mid and treble control.
Originally I wasn't going to have a treble control on it, but it was a bit too bright for me so we added it into the cavity so that I can adjust the brightness. The passive mid control is really interesting. With it all the way up the mids are strong and aggressive. when I want to mellow it out I roll it back to about half. Not being a slap player I haven't found a reason to make deep cuts to the mid but its there and has an interesting effect on the tone.
I play mostly pop music (i.e. shawn colvin, suzanne vega, switchfoot, tom petty etc) and modern worship music in church and stuff. I have song I recorded with Trip Wamsley, Norm Stockton, Rick Cua and the drummer from Jackie Green/the 77's at http://www.miproduce.com/demomusic/beautifulone.mp3 The only guitar in the track is a tacoma acoustic baritone played by Tom Lane. The rest is all bass. The Zon bass is the power chord part going through a GK DieselDawg pedal.
I'll record some pure samples of the bass demoing the mid control.
