Probably, but I don't know enough about G&L harnesses to know. I know that there is one switch that make it sounds anemic/worse, one pickup selector switch, and.... I have them set where I want them and have forgotten them.

My Avatar. I figure if its over 20 its an antique. A 2002 COY RIC 4003. Ordered sight unseen, I immediately loved it. I've had quite a few Rics this one is my favorite. Btw, extremely cool basses in this thread.

My 1987 Warwick Streamer is the oldest I can confirm. I still have my first bass that I got in 1991, it may be older but I don’t know.

Currently, my 1989 Fender P. But the oldest I ever owned was a 1977 Gibson RD Standard bass until I sold it. Great bass, just heavy as all get out.

On an L-200, the top switch is pu selector, middle is series/parellel, and lower switch is passive/active/active boost

It seems like 1974 was a great year for Rickenbacker.

This one turned 50 in August. I will confess that I didn't buy it back then. I turned 2 in November of that year. I didn't start playing bass until 1990. I stumbled across this beauty in a pawn shop in January of 2023. She's been mine ever since. I do gig with her occasionally, but she stays at home, mostly, and pairs wonderfully with my late 1974 Fender Bassman 50 with matching cabinet that I got a year or so before I got the bass.

I stupidly sold a White with Black Trim 1974 4001. It was awesome. I see others from '74 and they seem grezt. I am probably biased.

I don't believe there is a passive/active switch on the Sabre.
