Oldest Bass you got?

Oldest bass that I own is a feb./march 1953 P Bass all original except for the fiber saddles (has replacement fibers). I have to be up front that I just bought this bass about 8 or 9 years ago so I am not the original owner.

I'm GenX.... born in '72 and the oldest bass I own is a 2004 Ibanez Soundgear SR506, bought new 20 years ago in 2004.

That would be my 1982 Jazz that I bought in 1985. I bought it because the neck had the same shape (60's Slim C-shape), profile, and 7.25" radius that my 1965 Jazz did that I bought in 1966. Unfortunately after touring for 3 years in the early 70's and then playing weekend gigs, all my touring gear was stolen including my '65 Jazz. Took me from 1976 until 1985 to find another Jazz Bass with that same neck, even though it is an all-maple neck. My '82 is a bit brighter in sound (has 70's area pickup spacing) and a lot more sustain than my '65 had.

The experts – my local luthiers – are still not sure about it. But their (hopefully educated) guess is that my new baby – just today I decided to call her Jarmilka (pronounced Yarmilka) – might be between 50 and 100 years old:
Although… I'd tend to put her somewhere inbetween, perhaps mid-1950s. If it's really a Bohemian bass as a luthier suggested.
Other than that, in the 1970s my late dad found a broken Höfner 185 in a dump and this is what he made of it:
That would be from about the mid-1960s.
Currently I put it apart though, as it needs to be fixed in many places.

My oldest bass is a 1968 Fender Precision. I bought it new in March 1969. It was significantly modded in 1986 and put in its case in 1996, when I switched to playing 5 string basses.
I am blessed to have a 1959 Fender Precision bass purchased in 1975.
So in actuality my oldest bass is from the turn of the century it’s a Mirecourt Double Bass.

Oldest one I have? That would be a Jetglo Rick 4001. Last October was it's 54th birth... well, not "day", but "month". It's been my #1, go-to bass for just about as long as I've owned it - about 15 years, now...
