On the floor or on a stand?

i have installed some spring handles on the bottoms of amps/cabs ... but they don't tilt back very far ..

got one of these last Summer for small single 10 combo ... nice angle , cheap $$ , folds flat

I use a small amp stand that I got from GC. Kicks the cab back but keeps it on the floor so you don't loose your low end. It's rails are long enough so the the rack can't slide off. Cheap too. Just a little over $20.

I also use one of those On-Stage folding amp wedges. Very convenient and folds up. I put a big piece of black tape over the large, unnecessary branding!

In my gigging days I would just grab a table seat and plop my 112 on top.
I always fantasized about building a fake 6x10 cabinet to put it on top of.
Put a hinge on the speaker grill frame and use it for a gear box.

Same here, except I just sprayed it with black paint. I think it's better than an amp stand myself...it fits in my cord bag

If the cabinet can't be wiggled (floppy) that is good.

I stack 2 115s. The bottom cab is a great stand.

I've been using a 2 12 for a while now. On the floor with no problems. I wheel it in on a handtruck and can toss the amp on top with a guitar stand and a mic stand. Too bad the doors to the places we play aren't wider or I would be able to put my bass on it too.

Managed to come up with this rig,and sit it on stand. Cab weighs 44lbs,and amp 4lbs. Always have my amps up off the floor,and basses always on a stand. Real good friend musician said your ankles don't have ears! Get the amp off the floor!

Back in my Marshall stack and JBL stack days everything was flat on the floor, head on top as was the fashion of the day, but these days with a Fender Rumble 500 combo I just put a wedge under the front - the one I use has big kind of teeth up the front so you can pick the angle.

First thing I determine is what my amp is meant to do. Personal monitor? I try hand have it pointed at me.
Carry the venue? I try and have it pointing at the crowd.

I have the ability to tilt with my Markbass combo, but I prefer not to. Besides, I usually play with a stack and still prefer it making contact to the floor.

I leave mine on the floor. There isn't a good way to tip a 212, and a stand to get it up to my ears would be pretty big.
It would be nice though.

If 1 x 10, I use a small ramp that Wayne Jones gave me. If 2 x 10, I find the ramp unnecessary. That’s all I’ve got, 10’s.

Yes. It serves another purpose for me too. I can put it behind the couch and still hear it when it’s “put up.”

I really, really like feeling my bass vibrate the floor under my feet so I usually prefer positive contact between my rig and the stage. I know someone will tell me that's not the preferred mode but I'm never gonna stop doing it.
