One Strap per bass or one for multiple?

One per, at gigs the primary gets the Moody and secondary the comfort strap or Italia

One per bass, with strap locks, and the straps live on the bass 99% of the time. One spare strap is kept in my car for emergencies. I have little time to chase them or name them.

I used to have one strap per bass but now I have two identical neoprene straps for all my basses.

I've got 5 basses and 4 guitars, and probably 5 straps, all with Dunlop locks. It is handy to have straps set at a few different lengths to accommodate different instruments

I have a quality leather strap for each of my 6 basses (I'm a big fan of DSL handmade straps from Australia). They stay on all the time, even in the case or gig bag. I use Dunlop Lok Straps (the little plastic disk things) on 2 basses.

Except for my upright, every one of my instruments (10 basses and 3 guitars) has a strap and -except for those with extremely tight buttons or straplocks- every strap has a grolsch style rubber retainer.

I've got three nice wide straps and they go on whatever I bring to the gig. I've nearly always played 2 instruments at each gig and I'm not messing about switching straps between songs. The rest of my basses are strapped mostly with belts that I get at resale shops for about a buck. 2" is more than wide enough for comfort when practicing and a good leather belt is every bit as tough as a guitar strap. I also tend to practice standing up so it's nice to be able to quickly grab whichever instrument catches my fancy off the rack and plug-n-play.

I have one strap that I keep in my gig bag and two that I keep hanging on my dual Hercules stand when they are not attached to a bass. I have two basses that are not Dunlop equipped.. my 78 Jazz and my Breedlove ABG... the other 4 fivers and the one 6 are all DD equipped..

I have seen other people here who seem to swap straps between basses, it seems to me easier to keep a strap on the instrument at all times so you can simply grab and play. So how do you prefer to set up one strap per instrument or 1 strap for several instruments?

One strap per bass. It stays in the same case/gig bag as the bass that way I can't accidentally forget it.

All straps are the same length and all straps and basses have Dunlop Straploks on them, so it would be possible to swap one out for another if necessary.

I have a strap for each bass. Just makes swapping back and forth a lot easier.

Four basses. Four straps. Permanently attached to each bass with stainless steel wood screws and cap washers.

I don't want them to become un-attached.

Each bass has it's own strap in my arsenal. Also they're the best, most expensive top-of-the-line straps money can buy because that's the way I like it!

One strap per bass; it's a part of the instrument. Besides, both the red strap on my guitar, and the Captain America strap on my bass would totally clash with the new Dragon Burst Z-bass I've got on order.
