I'm amazed this thread is still active.

My SVT-4PRO's and SVP1600's draw 15 amps at max zoom from the outlet. Measured.
The cords that come with those amps are 14 ga cords. Which is rated at 15 amps. The wire in the wall in a house is usually 14 ga on a 15A circuit. In commercial spaces like bars, etc they are all 12ga and 20 amp circuits.

I measured a 2V drop or so with a steady note with the 15A circuit. That's throwing away power.

What I'd recommend, you want higher performance with audiofile stuff, pull some 6 gauge to your audio rack. Run the power amps on 240V. and NEVER USE A COMPUTER CORD to plug into your gear when the factory stuff is 14 ga.

I wish people would take the time and Listen to what a ESP power cable can do to audio equipment. It changed my mind and thoughts about this subject.

I don't think Michael of ESP would ship out a $180 power cable to me to try out for free if he didn't believe in his product.

Which store do you work/own around these parts? I honestly would come listen and add some input.

Even if a perfect, ideal power cable existed, it would perform pretty much the way an inexpensive conventional power cable already does (simply because there isn't much to what they're called on to do), and wouldn't do the things that the cable peddlers claim.

It doesn't matter whether Michael of ESP believes in his product. I'm sure it works just as well as the power cables I have laying around.

Which location are you normally at, or do you spread out between them? I'm on San Felipe and Fountain View so dang close to the Woodway campus.

I think he would. There are a number of factors at play, most notably the human tendency to feel guilty about not liking something and not wanted to make someone else feel bad. Combine that with slick marketing and people wanting to "improve" their sound, and you have a recipe for success.

I wouldn't take a free cable because in the end it would be a waste of my time, and that is the only thing in life I can't replace. I know a little science...in some instances I don't need to do the experiment to know the outcome. If I drop a rock it will fall...no need to verify gravity. Unless these power cables are inducing relativistic behaviors (which *would* be interesting, and perhaps fodder for a new computer game), an electron is an electron...

He's got nothing to loose except $15 in parts going to a someone at a church address.
And $165 in profit if you buy the snake oil.
