Opinions on a '98 SR5005?

Found a guy asking $700 for what he says is a '98 SR5005. Are there any opinions of this bass from that time? Fairly easy to find opinions on the new ones, and I'm wondering if I can expect a similar build quality from this one.

If it's in good condition I'd take it. The higher end Ibby SRs play great.

$700 is a good deal. An equivalent new Ibanez would be $2K.

These are extremely good basses!! All things being equal (do you like the neck, string spacing, weight, tone, no dead animals inside, etc.), there's few basses that you can buy for $300 more that will equal this rigs quality. I play them a lot.

The SR 5005e and 4005e now are based on this concept, but then a bit more modern

So yeah, a good find and deal!
