I love the sound of the Diamond, but I think the Cali has a bit more "heft" and fullness. It has a more complex response to peaks, so it is possible to set it for a higher ratio or higher input gain, and still sound very "natural".Hi Bongo,

Buy the transformer version, sell your non-transformer version.
