I opened mine (to mark with ID as I do all pedals) and there's nothing the size of a JDI transformer, or resembling a Jensen from what I could see. I can't say if there's any kind of isolation going on.
When I initially used it I had my passive Jazz going into a Radial JDI, and the JDI thru was feeding the Supervintage, so I could match levels find unity and nerd around. Sound quality was essentially the same for a clean bypassed pedal signal. I haven't had any ground noise.
Yes an FX loop and a build in Cali 76 and then we have everything we need as a perfect stand-alone amp simulation preamp. Maybe one day they will expand these boxes.

even though my favorite & play thru fender tube amps (super twin, showman or bassman-depending on the size of the gig), surprisingly if i had to choose between the two, while they're both excellent pedals, i'd go with the the super vintage.And.....if you were stranded on a remote island with only the choice of one or the other......??

I really dig the 64 and now I had to order the Super Vintage for comparison because I can't live with the feeling I'm missing something. By the way: The How good is the Cali76 CB? As I told before, I was a little hesitant. I do prefer my big fat Cali76 TX but the CB still rocks!

i like the cali76CB a lot but prefer the large box versions that don't accentuate the top end and have metering. the funny thing is, i actually preferred the very early non-TX version that i had (and stupidly sold) over the cali76TX that i currently own.Damn you!

The actual transformer adds (while subtle) a more "3D-like" feel and "sweetened" tone to the signal YMMV.
HA! I was thinking "they do add some sheen to the signal, don't they?". Maybe that's what I like, hehe. Anyway, looking forward to comparing them directly.
Why do you prefer the Super Vintage to the 64 though? I'm in the same boat: My favorite amps seem to be Fender-ish.

i like the SV a bit more since it has way more control of the mids (3 selectable freqs) and the ability to boost and cut, and this is coming from a Fender amp user since 1969.
Haven't we all "stupidly sold" a pedal and then someday regraded it? I know I have. I am very likely going to do it again.

Yes good demo. Just enough drive for me. I thought the SV sounded really good with the EQ straight up. You could really hear the pedal sweeten things up without being EQ'd. I felt like the 64 suffered with the knobs straight up as the change seemed to be quite drastic between on and off and this may have been the tone stack not set close to flat?
I thought I wanted the 64 but I'm not sure now. I have a feeling I will get both eventually.

the '64's tone stack is not flat at noon, just like a fender amp, whereas the SV's is (baxandall).
Sorry if it's already been covered but, what would you say is "flat" for the '64?
I've been enjoying mine w/ all eq around noon, sometimes mids boosted to get rid of the scooped sound.. but since watching that video ^^ i'm now like oh man I should have bought the SV one because it really does sound great with little adjustment.

for the DI, 0-full-0 is about as flat as it can be for me (just like on a fender showman). you might try slightly adjusting the two HF & LF trims when using the effect out to an amp.
No one has mentioned how well the Super Vintage plays with other pedals… so I will.
I've been running my Parabellum germanium distortion and an IE Oxide fuzz through the SV and it just sounds outstanding!
