I was playing around with the SV today and tried maxing out the output knob and adding gain to taste….

To be honest I have been having a ton of fun just tweaking the recommended settings in the owner's manual and feeding my favorite pedals through it. What I am seeing is that this pedal puts out great tones and has very usable settings throughout the entire range of the controls.
I think Origin Effects hit home runs with both of these pedals.
Did a live band session today - and with the Super Vintage always on, I think I sounded the best I've heard from myself. I ran the SV through a comp at the end of the signal chain most of the time; it sounded killer. I also ran the Parabellum through it, as well as the Oxide - again both sounded amazing... here's a board shot from the session.

Are you running your SV through your amps preamp (what amp are you powering it with?) Or bypassing and using just the SV as your pre?
I ran the SV at the end of my drive pedal chain, before the filters, etc. The overall signal outputted through a Mesa WD 800 and a couple of subway cabs.

So did anyone used the '64 as preamp (end of chain), and the SV as a drive? Or vice versa.

My two Bassrigs will arrive tomorrow; I 'intend' to only keep one (or none), but we shall see.
I use a active 500rms PA cab, EV SA 360, and I'll be testing with a P bass with Labella flats, and a Jazz bass with DR Blues. Sound clips are all very well, but you really need 'hands on' experience to see how the preamp reacts to different finger velocity, etc.
If I'm not super impressed, they will both go back and I will consider a valve pedal like the Noble.
Some of you maybe pleased to know that I'm only interested in how good they do clean sounds.

Question for those with the 64 Black Panel - I have wanted to find a Bassman 100T (the one from a few years ago). Would the Black Panel be able to nail that type of tone? I'd just as soon save a grand
