I've found the Hardwire CM-2 to be very touch-responsive. With my fingers, I get a nice, tubey peach fuzz ... if I dig in, it sounds more broken up. A pick gives it a nice attack and more distortion. That's on "Classic." There's also a "Modern" mode which is fuzzier in every style.

I borrowed a friend of mine's Submarine pedal (a MK2)l today so I could compare its circuit and tone to the clone that I built for myself. his original only has a volume and tone control whereas I added a 3 way mids switch to mine.

i'm happy to say that they sound identical and Electronix/Zeibek used the same transistors that I used in mine (which are different Jfets than the designer Albert Kreuzer's specified Jfets).

I think that mk2 is the one I recently sold (recognize the case/knobs/innards). I have a mk3 with ultra bass and snapped side by side comparisons before selling it and it looks like OZ classed it up some with the latest version

damn, I want it. The Gamma sounds freakin amazing. I've been looking for a cool OD for the past few years to go with my trusty and very old Fulltone Basdrive.
