just as a 'precaution', the only mod I did was to change the input coupling cap from a 22n to a 100n, but I never tried it with the stock 22n. mine has Zero low end loss, and it might not even with the stock cap

I just finished this one today, the Shin's Music Dumbloid Special. these sell for $600 (which IMO, is ridiculous!). this pedal is said to emulate a Dumble amp, but I don't think tha it really sounds like any of the 3 dumble amps I've played thru.
I didn't care for the stock chip in it (OPA2134) due to its fizzy decay, so after trying 30 other dual opamps in it, I went with an MC33172N and it sounds great now. I use socketed chips and that's the only mod that I did to it.

nope. looking at the schematic, it looks to be several boss pedals in one with eq and sweepable mids.

nope. there's so many pedals out there, it's almost impossible to try all of them. i mean, i've built more than 250 OD/fuzz/distortions and tried another 100 of them and there's probably more than 2000 of them available.

I haven't been too active on TB recently, so missed this whole OD discussion...
I'd found your OD page via the French forum: forum.onlybass.com - you have fans there as well!
Played quite a bit with my new Zeke this weekend, and I'm a happy man! Thanks for making a great pedal available again.
And, you're giving me the DIY virus - I've downloaded Dave Wampler's books that he's made available on the net, and I think I'll try my hand at a Barbershop clone.

Hi Glen, the Barbershop is an awesome pedal (and still in my top 10!). the trick to get it to sounding great is selecting J201's that are within the correct range for it, otherwise you could be disappointed.

another one completed. The 'TODD' (Transparent OverDrive Deluxe). it's actually a Runoffgroove Peppermill, but with a few mods. GuitarPCB named it, but I modded mine for more low end and a slightly different tone control. it uses a mosfet front end driving a Jfet to simulate a tube amp
