i built a Citrus MKII but i found the FAC control to be a bit useless for use with a bass.

I have a lot of overdrives that I like a lot. Having said that, the JohnK Orange Bass Preamp is my favourite OD right now. There are some real good settings on that pedal.

yes. I built the viva analog 360+ preamp a while ago. it's an exact clone of the original 360.

Creation Audio Labs just released a new bass overdrive based on the Holy Fire.
It's called Grizzly Bass, and the first demos are really interesting IMHO.

Yeah, that is a very high current draw.

Hmmm. I've never heard of the amount of current draw affecting or being representative of the dynamics of a pedal. Maybe it does, I've just never made that kind of connection.

Well, if you wanted tube drive, you would need a ton of power as well. At least this one can be powered by a Pedal Power 2.

This does not have a tube in it. It is all solid state. Personally, I don't care either way, as long as it sounds good.
