He was bounced off the board for a bit. I took over numbers about 4 months ago. I will update them this afternoon. Good looking basses!
i tried out the new fender USA P bass 2008 today and its absolutely great, lovley tone, feel etc. feels really solid as well.
im thinking of going the cheaper route and building my own P bass from Fender USA parts sold on ebay, has anyone else had a go at this?

What kind of strings do you have on that? The lowest string looks beastly thick! Nice look BTW
Nothing special - D'Addario EXL165s (my preference for rounds). Part of what you're seeing as a thick string is acutally a shadow on the body.
yes...I pulled the pre out of mine and it works fine,
replaced the P p/u with a SD vintage, the bridge p/u is stock until i find
a good replacement...
I've rewired it to V/V/T and i'm using the forth hole for the output jack...
which leaves me with a hole where the old jack was, no big deal...
sounds great,
ps: I put a .1 cap in it, for me it helps get an old school P
and tames down the bridge p/u

What are the best upgrades for a P bass to get it to play even more like butter?

I'm looking into getting another P-Bass styled guitar, not a P/J style. The way I really like to play bass is with a P set up. Also, I can't afford a Fender. So any pros/cons of an SX? I was looking into getting a Fretted and a Fretless, the prices can't be beat!
