Pair of 210 for vertical stack under 1000

i wish i could answer more, but the only one i own is the ampeg, and i haven't been to a music store since late february. there IS less aluminum in the hydrives, and for all i know, the brash tone isn't from the aluminum but are just the way they're voiced. my all-aluminum hartke experience was that i tore the cone of a friend's like tissue paper even while playing way below their max watts.

Those Markbass cabs look like an exact clone of the Eden 210xst cabs - which btw are the best 210 cabs I have ever used, Sooo much bottom end and 500w power handling each. I know they aren't new off the shelf and they aren't as light as some but damn they are good.

I have a pair of svt210av’s , they are Great, and loud with an amazing tone. I prefer them to my old Genz Benz 212, and Edens before that.

The voicing is clear so they seem louder. Ampeg really nailed the fridge sound with them. It's an alive sound that presents itself in the mix.

not yet ... i read the more i can online reviews and testimonys from owners of these different cabs.
yesterday evenin' it was gk cx 210 time and there s a lot of praise. I had a gk 410 neo pro (powered dy 700R II) before and wasn t very happy with it, it was to my ears very boomy and at the same time harsh with the treble.
May be the cab needed to breath more (i only played it indoors and small scene) but i ended selling it.
the cx seems to be a different animal but still light although not neo. I also read about the ampeg av's that are mentionned so many times in this thread and have to say it sounds great and from what i eard the tweeter is not really missing, highs goes to 5 KH so you can well ear them. another dowside however is the very small footprint , i m afraid it won t be safe stacking them and I would like a little lore than 200w for my outdoors gigs with no PA.
The rumble seems to be a bit vintage colored (which is cool, ampeg is too) and maybe i would like something more transparent. Nobody really spoke about these "new" hartkes but they seem to be fine too.
At this point i would like to ear some of these cabs in the real life. I won't find them all but i have to try some.

If it's any help I gig the vertical 210's, and even though they're rated for 350Wrms each the most I've ever put into them is a 500W amp on halfway, so 125Watts a piece. It was VERY loud outdoors. 200Wrms cabs will be quite capable.
Also any harshness from a new speaker cab will mellow after a week or two of use.

I m not sure that when your master is half way up you re only throwing half the power ... as loudness goes, when you re half way up you re nearly 70 percent loud, it s not a linear curve.
But many people run a pair of av's with a 500w head and it s fine and some other state that the av's are a bit short for some venues. For yourself i see you wisely run a 500w head in a 700w cab stack, i think i should do the same.
i called two music shops today around where i live. No fenders rumble cabs (only combo) no GK CX (they ve been ordered but the guy couldn t tell me when they ll have it) no hartkes HD. Only the av's and markbass marcus 102.

Unfortunately most people mistake knob positions for "percentage" of power or other parameters. A knob on 5 does not mean that it's putting out half the power. There are too many variables included.

Go out to the music shops and test those cabs!

I have two 210AVs stacked vertically and use both my Markbass LMII (500 watts) and my SVT (which sounds louder than the LMII) with no problems. Not saying they are better than the ones in your poll but they sound great, are light, and I have had no issues with volume.

Wholeheartedly yes. I don’t have issues with volume with my pair of Svt210av’s and the tone that comes out of these cabs is bangin. Plus they’re an amazing price.
