Dan, I was lucky enough to get to pick mine up at a shop that has a great luthier, Link Removed. He had to do a lot of work on plaining down my fingerboard at the first position. He also did a lot of work with the TRUSS ROD! This is caps because it's the only upright bass I've ever had with a truss rod. My King has metal rods in the neck for strength, but nothing adjustable. I'm a big fan of knowing how to set-up your own instrument, but a truss rod on an upright? find a good luthier.Need some help please. I have a really bad buzzing sound when I play an F, E, or Eb on the D string of my Palatino. I don't get the same degree of buzz anywhere else on any of the other strings. I have tried raising the bridge but it does not seem to help. As this is my first upright, I'm not sure what else to try. Any suggestions from out there. I have the bass strung with Thomastik Spirocore Light guages. Any advice would be welcomed....Thanks....Dan
