What do you think of Pauls bass skills??
Limited and severly lacking. I guess the music have some entertainment value but its not exactly great art.

I'm wondering why you would post such a thing and not keep it to yourself, and then I looked at your profile and realized that most of the guys you cite as influences are million-notes-a-minute types who play what is, IMO, rather cheesy music.
There's no accounting for (bad) taste, I guess.

I think that it is good to get 2 sides of the story, everyone seems to praise beetles for some uknown reason. They aren't exactly that good, not even for a pop band. I'd take Aeon Spoke over them anyday since eventhough its pop they still have 10 times more skill and talent. Its just my view so deal with it (and remember that every word I speak is true).

Geez, Coypu - although, I wouldn't put it so bluntly, I agree with what Pete said.
I don't know much about you (your profile doesn't say too much, and I'd really be interested to know your age) - but the impression I get is that you're really interested in technical flashiness, more so than musicality.
EDIT: My 4k post! And look what I wasted it on!![]()

I don't see why people are so angry? The thread starter asked for out opinions and I gave mine which was included some facts about his playing abilites.
Well you didn't. You expressed opinions, and dressed them up as facts, which can get people a little jumpy.
Well I'm 21, and I truly hate flashiness and showing off and such things. I like music that is made by serious people who create art for the sake of art. 2 good examples are Burzum and Glenn Gould
...it had to come sooner or later...
Burzum are very untechnical and very simple music, Glenn Gould is in my view the ultimate musican with incredible chops. Both are great because they created what was in their hearts without concern for what other people thought. There is not 1 band that are among my favorites that aren't highly musical.
The Beatles were highly musical!
Beatles are inferior in all possible ways except when it comes to economics.
