Yet all the while Mesa & Gallien Krueger---> still made in Northern California.I did not watch any shows of that series, but I did run across this which I will provide since this thread is about a Peavey product (I have no dog in this fight either way) (if the mods wish, feel free to remove):
Peavey Responds to Controversial Episode of CBS's "Undercover Boss"

Northern California where wages and the cost of living is ridiculously high.
Yeah, as someone who's using Dave's cabs too, this one looks like a great fit. I'd be all over this if I wasn't using one of Bobby's other amps already, the IPR2-3000-DSP. Although there could be one in the future just as an alternative or backup. I know that there's been general interest in these units from the GB/fF camp since announced for these. After moving to 'big power-no headroom ceiling' all other amps have left me underwhelmed, so this one could be gold.
I'm using the IPR2's in my PA system, but I'm using 7500's to drive my subs, and 5000's to drive my mid/high cabs. I was very skeptical of going the lightweight route with the amps for my PA, as I'm used to lead sled amps. But, I figured, what the heck, I'll give these a try, since it would be nice to have a power amp rack that doesn't weigh over 200lbs for a change. And damn, these IPR2's really deliver!! 2 of the 7500's make my 4 EV MTL-1X dual 18's really hammer, and we have yet to get them to clip, even when *really* pushing things at outdoor shows.
I can only imagine how great the 3000 must work in a bass rig. If I ever go the pre/power route, there's no doubt in my mind there'll be an IPR2 in the power section of the setup.

Yeah. They're great amps I think. Have you ever had anyone say to you "those amps sound like lightweight class D amps" when you used them?![]()

Zzounds does seem to be slow getting things. But I like their payment plans, so usually have to just wait longer. That's probably when they get their shipment in. We are still on track for this month.

American musical supply is also showing Jan 16 but, I think they are also owned by the same company as Zzounds
