Peavey MiniMega 1000

Holding down the CRUNCH button makes the Mega go into the edit mode, mostly for the front panel backlight options. This is mentioned on the POP sticker on top of the amp. Some of the parameters you can edit are not mentioned on the POP but are mentioned in the OM. I suspect that some of these parameters were changed from default during the QC checkout and were never set back.

One thing in particular is that the effects loop can be bypassed, which i something that the optional footswitch also controls. Once you're in edit mode, the HI MID Q switch toggles the loop on and off, so check that if you plan on using the loop!

The panel back-lighting should default into color wheel mode with no input cable plugged in. In edit mode, the KOSMOS button toggles that on/off.

Color wheel mode can be activated when the amp is muted with or without a cable plugged in. That can be toggled on/off in edit mode using the MUTE switch.
