Hello, after reading tens of pages about this amp and being a Peavey man at heart I have a quick question for the thread. I recently aquired a Peavey VB-215 cabinet and was wondering if anyone has played a MM through one of these cabs or something similar? Opinion? I've been interested in this amp for quite a while and am ready to jump into the class D world. Thanks in advance!

I want to once again own a Spector bass some day. i had one of the first 5 string back in the 80s. I used it one a few tours. In my opinion they are one of the best basses to cut thru in a mix...
I need to get one again.. What is the BAD speaker cab ,????, Is that like a fearful?
I want to look into a fearful or 15/6 type cab one of these days too.. Or some sort of 115 with separate mid drivers.
My friends was in town doing a semi national country type gig. .Nothing big. He has a fearful 15/6. I brought the mM1000 to his soundcheck this week.. It was pretty amazing sounding on that rig...
I used my mM on my loud gig last night thru two Genz Uber115s. I like that the ROUNDNESS is not missing as in some other lightweight amps where it just goes away when you lean on it..
The amp responds quickly.. ! And stays full.. I remembered that FEEL when i use my old 60+ pound heavy Crown MA1200..
I wanted to try rolling the BASS back to about 11 o'clock and then add a little of the KOSMOS on the outer Dial. Psychoacoustic??????/ Dialed it in to about 8 or 9 o'clock. .Man, that is a cool trick!!!!
I played my alleva coppolo signature bass the KBP4.. with DR Highbeams.. The bass Growled like it hasn't in a long time. In my opinion, the mM allows what is in the bass ...to come out and go to the speakers. It has no tube , yet is harmonically very rich..
Others have said the COMP may be best to tame Slap style . I agree with that.. I didnt use the COMP

Too bad, I sold my 4ohm, TB153 cab just weeks before I bought the MM1000. Sure woulda liked to try the Peavey thru that cab. I used to say the Avatar was "as nearful a fearful as you might get".
Now, I've never played or heard a Green Boy style 15/6/1 cab first hand. But I know I do like 3 way cabs much better than most 2 way cabs I've owned/own. Well to clarify, I like having a 6" mid, tweeter or not, in my cabs now. I used to run my Streamliner 900 w/P5 thru the TB153 and folks said, they could feel the bass punch them in the chest. I attribute that to the awesome Em 3015LF driver. I can just imagine what the MM1000 might do with that cab.
But I see quite a few 15/6, 15/6/1 style cabs for sale here often, so I might get a chance to try one still using this Peavey amp. But any 15/6 or 15/6/1 would have to be much, much lighter and smaller than my BF Big Twin-T for me to have to buy one now. The fact that the Big Twin-T is just barely taller and only slightly heavier than my GB NX2-212T AND that the BF is 3 way w/attenu-able Tweeter and 6"mid, it's gona be very hard for any other cab to impress me now.
Although a very light, well built 15/6 or 15/6/1 could prolly do it, I imagine. @KiRk, when you buy one, let me know if it slams with the MM1000? peace, e.

Yes, it's a Bassic (Fearless design) with a 3015 loaded Kappalite. This one is made by Don Barry of Barry Audio Design (BAD). Great compliment and PLENTY of volume/headroom for a small/medium sized bar last night. Fat, seemingly endless amounts of juice from this head.

Getting ready for my gig last Saturday at the American Legion hall in Front Royal, VA. The mM through a Bergantino NV610. Still McLovin it! It's really starting to make me feel guilty about keeping the pile (well, 4) of tube amps that I have. If I cut back to 1 x 300W tube and 1 x 100W tube amp, that seems like it ought to be enough to be sit and gather dust, while I'm out gigging the mM....

Took Bobby's advice and used the 6 screws underneath and mounted to a Raxxess UNS1 shelf then into a 2 space skb shallow rack case.
Easy to layout. The gimme is when the amp is upside down and you lay the shelf on it you get a starter hole at the front right (looking at the shelf from the bottom while it's laying on the bottom of the amp with amp and shelf facing you). Basically hold the shelf almost flush with the face of the amp and centered left to right and you'll see the screw head. From there I measured the rest and drilled one hole at a time, scored/scratched with pocket knife and drilled, rinse repeat. Ezee Cheezee.
Now there is no having to lug extra bags and always being sketchy about dropping one, etc.
Oh and bonus! The power cable stays plugged in while back cover goes on. Speaker cable not so lucky, but hey.

I'd say I went 2x past my 10% rule of cords/accessories cost, but hey how easy is this going to be to lug around vs. that bag it came with or the Odyssey bag I previously posted.

GBass001, great job. I'm wondering though, isn't part of the appeal of a micro amp being able to go away from rack gear. Something like what Husky123 did above? Not trying to troll or flame anyone, I'm just curious. Something like this little Peavey would probably rock on top of my 12/6.

I LIKE to RACK it to simplify my setup . If i move my own gear or if a crew member sets up for me... Since i do a wide variety of gigs from Locals stuff, Fly dates and large gigs with some famous musicians Im blessed to be able to do all of those. I prefer to use the same rig for small and large gigs, just adding cabs as needed. Infact i need to look into the Peavey 15 and 8 cabs!
Being able to RACK my gear saves setup time . Plus All my cables are inside the rack ( speaker and AC) stay connected to the amp. I don't have to worry about losing them .
I'm doing some large festival dates with a few famous guitar players this week and thru the summer. We have a crew. Its easier for them to simply unplug cables from the cab/ AC and DI lines roll them up put in rear of the rack case and close it up and GO. Where If i had it in a bag , i would have to disconnect both ends, roll them up. put them in a Bag.. ( Hopefully the Bag was NOT Misplaced from load in time to show time.. Then that is put in a case with other stuff.
On my local gigs, i can end the last song of a set and be all rolled up in a rack within about 2 minutes. So i can get home early to get sleep before i have 7 am church gig soundcheck..
I just find it to be so much faster with a rack. AND i dont lose cables etc..

Wouldn't the polarity of one output need to be reversed since it's currently operating in bridge mode?

I hear ya and that's how I've used it for quite a few gigs. The weakest link my load in - load out is that mM.
We're a 3 piece. The guitarist bring and sets up the PA. I bring and setup my rig in addition to a small lighting rig (speaker stand with T-bar on top).
As far as efficiency goes, I love the size and weight of this bad boy. But more so the power and e.q. It's just cubic'ly simpler, for me, to rack it and toss it. The ginger method of drunken friends wanting to help or the wife wanting to help... too much concern for late night load outs. Imho
Believe it or not, my backup is a Peavey Max into a Crest Prolite 2.0, which sits in the car. Just in case (or the case).
