Peavey US Made Millennium Basses

So when are you going to drag the wife and kids out here to Virginia Beach? I'll show ya what an ocean looks like, we'll buy salt water taffy and overpriced tacky T shirts, and make fun of the French-Canadian tourists.

You might actually leave with a bass.

Speaking of basses, it's on the truck! Tick....tick.....tick

I drug them to Chicago this summer and spent WAAAYY too much on tacky T-shirts. Gotta recoup after that! But if she can ever drag me to Boston, I'll be sure that I stop by. Or the NE in September to see the leaves turn...ditto!

And we've all seen the ocean, thank you very much! I may be from the country, but it's not that far back in the woods:p Hey, I've even let the French Canadians make fun of the American tourists at N Falls...does that count?

And now, back to your regularly scheduled post:

Went out online looking for one. CG in Covina, CA has a nice looking blue one for $450 w/no case. Almost bought it.

So many basses are coming from the Far East and here's one from the good ole USA. You can't match the look, the tuners, the on-board electronics, or the woods for what you can pick one of these up for. However, if we keep talking them up, what else is going to go up?:hmm: Take advantage of the little known facts and grab the blue one now!:)

I own a Tiger Eye 5+. I LOVE IT!!! Solid tones--with a variety of tones to be had by it!!! Well-built. Excellent tone. I had $1500 cash and walked into to a Warwick or EBMM. I walked out with the Peavey. Peavey necks fit my hands better for one, but I just loved the humbucker tone. Our drummer (who is NOT a Peavey fan) wants me to play the 5+ over my Lakland.

I have (I think) the same bass as Petch - Millenium Plus 5-string in red with a flamed maple top, birdseye maple neck. I picked it up used in minty mint condition with the hang tags still on it with the OHSC for $400, and I must say it's an amazing instrument for the price. It plays effortlessly, is extremely comfortable, the neck is a dream and the sound is better than decent. I occasionally find myself wishing that it had a 24 fret neck, but that's the only thing I'd change!

Mine is actually candy apple red (no flame), not a plus, with birdseye neck and matching headstock. I ordered it brand spankin' new in December 2000. Two things to do: 1. Take pics of Millennium. 2. Find Bass Player mag with Millennium review in it. :)

I don't know what Peavey called this color, But I really like it paired with the maple board. Really nice bass. For me, this is the most comfortable body style, of all my basses.

The Millennium V I traded to Cubanbass is birdseye without a mapletop too.

Hmhp. Ya learn something new every day. Did it have a satin finish, too?

Speaking of finishes.....
Did the non BN Millennium basses have a satin or oil finish. I have a CAR J4 and 5 Plus and can't really tell. LOL, not that they really matter as they're more/less backup basses to reliable basses that haven't needed the backup yet. (knocking on wood)
