What's the feedback on these basses? These are SWEET and would love to get my hands on one. Are they in any stores?

HORRIBLE basses. Terrible! Don't buy one! ESPECIALLY don't buy a 4 string version, JJ, with a flame top if one ever comes on ebay!!! (but do tell me about it...)
Smaller than a Spector? Was always interested in trying one out. JimI really like them. Very (almost weirdly) tiny body though, which might not be for everyone.
Much thinner than Spector for sure. Not sure if the actual body is substantially smaller but I would guess it is the similar or slightly smaller.Smaller than a Spector? Was always interested in trying one out. Jim
I have a single soap bar Rapture. Probably the lightest bass I own. Big fat P bass kinda tone from the single soap bar p/u.

The P/U is in the P Bass position and is an active humbucker. The bass does sound like a P, but with the mid-cut switch designed for slapping, it can do that very well as well.So is the single soapbar Rapture more of P type than a MM type? Meaning is the pickup placement more P than MM?
Can you get MM type tones from it? Or is it more of a round P type tone all day long?

I would not compare the Rapture to a Stingray in any way, shape or form! It's a modern take on a P-Bass and with the Bart humbucker, I would call it a little darker sounding than a typical passive Pbass p/u combo. I am a fingers player only, so I can't really help with the sound using a pick.I am really intrigued.
So just to complete the circle if you play finger style with the mids tweak do you get similar articulation as you would from a stingray H? Thanks!

So no, nothing like a Ray.
