Bad news, urine is by no means sterile, even while it is in you. Unless you have a compromised immune system you don't get infections from it, but it is chock full of bacteria, even fresh from the tap. Let it out and it is an excellent growth medium for more bad stuff.
If you pee in the sink, it will splatter on everything, the sink, the faucet the handles, the bar of soap, your toothbrushes, anything within the general area. The droplets may be too small to see, but they are there.
Hope you don't bend down and drink from the faucet when you brush.....but then, if you use a nearby glass, it's is already contaminated.
Sinks where not designed for bodily waste; they are for bodily cleansing.
