We could also use a 'Sarcasm/ I'm Messin' Witchu' font.

I like what I like
Exactly- It's not a thank you for posting. It's a thank you for amusing me/teaching me something/showing your carrot.I like posts I agree with or appreciate.
I don't do it just to do it. I prefer it to be genuine. Just like we know people who are artificially friendly/kind.

I'm glad I got my set early. It the highest honor they give on TB since they dropped the free Star Trek steak knife set with every 1000 likes.

I make "Peanut Butter Kisses" in my belly button (similar to the Hershey ones, but with peanut butter... yes, I have a "deep-innie")... First one of the day usually has a "lint trophy". If you happen to score that one, you may not appreciate it, but you WILL be in awe!

yes, regularly...although sometimes i like more posts than i indicate: i might be reading fast, following the 'thinking', and i may not "like" as many posts as i actually appreciate.Do you "like" posts.
i tend to like "funny." (it's what is funny to me...YMMV.) i also like posts which strike me as "honest"...even if i don't agree. and i tend to like posts which might be supportive of someone else who may be experiencing difficulty. sometimes i like a post because the post itself is just plain 'decent' in my opinion. giving a "like" is similar to 'voting' for me, on some threads, for some topics. maybe i'll think of other reasons. Why or why not?
some are probably shy and/or arrogant. some are probably in a hurry. some genuinely don't care (it has no consequence). there have to be many reasons. turn this into a poll!Do you have any thoughts or theories regarding people who never "like" posts?
i went to that thread: thought it was a neat idea! i wonder why it was shut down with the warning: "don't do this again." no explanation =the official Likes thread

is that a rule? are we not ever to question the mods?I am not questioning the mods.
IMO: it's a matter of quality, not quantity. just sayin'!For belly button lint to be awesome, you better have a very large jar full of it.![]()
that cannot be legal here! It's a thank you for amusing me/teaching me something/showing your carrot.

Exactly how I do it.I feel like if I give out likes too liberally, it creates an expectation that I'm subsequently in violation of if I forget to like someone's post, so I try to only like things that are especially funny, moving, beautiful, or uniquely helpful, therefore preserving a standard that a "like" is special.

According to the rules, a mod should only be questioned via PM. Not in a thread.yes, regularly...although sometimes i like more posts than i indicate: i might be reading fast, following the 'thinking', and i may not "like" as many posts as i actually appreciate.
