Pete Wentz Fender Signature Model? Really?

HAHAHAHA lousybassplayer man i about died laughing when you meantioned chumbawumba..that was a blast from the past for me. They were one of those bands that you forgot for a good reason and I haven't heard a single thing about them in probably 10-12 years until you meantioned them just now.

I liked RHCP for a long time! Flea was the person getting me to play bass! And I liked them before that! And now some 'guitarzero' game or something had one of their songs and so everybody my age likes RHCP and they think they know more about them than I do... Pft! they didn't even know about the tubesock thing!

I hate to tell you, but being a musician, your taste in music is going to differ a great deal from that of your non musician friends. It gets worse the longer you listen to music and continue to play. In a way they are lucky, they don't analyze music like we do, they just listen to it. They are unlucky because often they miss subtle aspects that make certain bands great and others junk. Plus, they are the reason we are stuck with bands like the aforementioned.

I am sure there are some skins running around under some kind of FSU banner who are trying to keep things clean, but those ones sure weren't. Like I said before, I do not know how representative of the whole crew they were, but I'll put it like this. Even on TB where I doubt anyone would know any better, I am not going to name drop. I still have friends living in that town.

Lars, you seem like such a great open minded defender of the arts in all of their various formsand glories. But if a guy sees a pile of dog crap on the street and it inspires him to make music, are you sure the end result is going to be a good thing, PERIOD? I doubt it. No there is such a thing as crap music, crap players and crap anything. I don't know this wentz guy, he looks like a douche, but who knows? I don't know if he is secretly a bass god. I do find that his music sucks and if it inspires more of that emo pop punk crowd to get into music I think thats a BAD thing. I like plenty of unsophisticated easy to play music. But crap is crap.

what about relicing the bass by beating pete wentz with it? there stuf little bat heart thing gone AND pete gets beat

but in all honesty if he can get kids in the instruments and not drugs all the power to you. plus i can bet half of you woul give your right testie for his level of fame
