When I first tried to use a smart phone to post on one of my favorite sites, the clumsiness of using it caused me to be over-brief when trying to make my point. Someone with a lot of pull with the owner of the site got their panties in a wad in their misunderstanding of my posts and the owner was probably enjoying a single malt or three at the time. They complained and I got banned without explanation. It was a site I'd been an active member of for 13 years at the time.I agree. I don't mind reading long post if they are coherent and broken up in paragraphs. But, I'm an old fart. OTOH, wht I lke abt Twttr is tht preciseness is the point.
And time has proven, with many "infamous tweets", my theory that 140 characters is just enough to get you in big trouble, though every 500th tweet might be something quotable.
i.e. I avoid twitter like the plague.
