Pickguard for Candy Apple Red with Rosewood?

well... if you're not into tort, go white pearl... superb. Nice bass skip.

+1. White Pearloid looks good on red. But don't dismiss the brown tort too quickly. Here's a Sunset Orange Transparent I used to have with brown tort. I thought it looked real good; and I've seen them looking mighty fine on red basses as well!

This is my P, who's injured at the moment. She needs a Pickguard replacement, and I figured I might make it look its best.

I nearly exclusively use DR Blue Peacocks.

So far I'm thinking White Pearl.

Open to ALL suggestions :)

I'd stick with basic white. Or white pearl, if you really prefer. It's an elegant, classic look.

Definitely stay away from anything tasteless or gaudy. Less is more... :hmm:

So Far I'm saying, white pearl.

The only two that are really tearing me up are the Gold Ano and the mint. But, I don't think wanna go vintage. My Main basses are this and now a Vintage Aria Pro ZZB. It's .. 23 years old now. Probably In time, after Bernie gets considerable scuffs and wear, I will put on mint, but for now I'd like to stay modern as far as the P Bass.

@ Jeff: It actually looks pretty sick, but then again, the metallic red is much darker than the sunset is it not?

@ MM : I see where you are coming from.

And also, I'm thinking of getting a replacement neck with pearloid blocks. Where could I go for that, warmoth? . This bass is a squier, by the way.

Yes, the red is darker than the sunset orange. But I've seen the red/brown tort combo on other basses. While it might not sound like it would look good, I think it does. Surely somebody out there has a metallic red with tort. If so, please post a pic to prove I'm not (totally) crazy!
