Hello there!
I am looking to buy my first Fender bass and I have found one that sounds incredible to me.
It is the Fender Deluxe Precision Bass Special. I played it against a few Squiers and various Fenders and this one just sounded the best to me. I've had so much fun visiting the music store just to play this monster!
My only problem with it is that it is (in my opinion) a very ugly bass. I know that aesthetics aren't everything, and I still intend on buying it, but I was wondering what you guys think I could do pickguard-wise to make this bass look better. I like gold pickguards on certain basses, but it definitely doesn't look good with this metallic blue paint job. I've had it suggested to me by one of the sales guys at the music store to go for a vintage mint green pickguard, but I'm not sure how that will look. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, guys!
Travis
What's the difference between black abalone and black pearloid?
look at it!, it has blue, red, pink, and orange elements in it
I love layaway!I think I will! Tarpley Music has a layaway program, so I can sit on the blue bass while I look around just to make sure.![]()
