Wait, how does this song start again??
Will be in the club soon. Having this modified into a P/J 5. Routing of the body for the J pup (Seymour Duncan SJ5) is complete and it's now getting refin'd in gloss black. Also having a tort pg made for it.
I'm getting a status graphite neck and it has black Hipshot ultralights. Should I get a black bridge and knobs? Or replace the tuners with chrome ones?
I am typically partial to black hardware but I think the black neck would look nice with chrome tuners, all black kinda washes out. Unless you are going all out stealth, which is out of the question with that TSB body, I say stick with chrome hardware all the way.
Black would "modernize" the traditional look. Whether that's good or bad is up to you!
Edit: forgot the graphite neck would be black... I'm partial to black, but you might need some sparkle to set it off.

Wow. This club flew under my radar somehow! I have 2.
First (and my #1) is my parts bass. Fender American Vintage Hot Rod Precision body, American Standard neck, Wilde Bill P46 with Super 55 jazz, 3 way switching, stacked VV with master tone, chromes. 8 lb 3 oz!
And a 1996 MIJ (Fujigen) Precision LYTE Deluxe. No mods. 7 lb 3 oz!!

Black Devil and Wood Sammich. Black Devil needs a good setup. DiMarzio Model P and J. Mahogany body. Carvin neck. Wood Sammich has a Carvin P and Quarter Pounder bridge.
After 35+ years of playing I never played a PJ until this year and I absolutely love it. Because of the color combination it's hard to read the headstock but this is a Valenti (#198)

Mass produced but apparently rare anyway - a Vester Witch 935. In fretless without fret lines. Fingerboard protected with polyurethane lacquer. The pickups / electrics - mhmm. The originals (P: 10.3 kOhm, J: 5.8 kOhm) were unbalanced and sounded a bit too mid pronounced to me. And, of cource, the balance between the pickups was nonexistent.
Long ago I Installed a DiMarzio DP122 (that's the model P, isn't it?) and a SD STK J2. I loike the DP122, but the SD sounds to weak - and the balance problem prevails. Recently i tried a DiMarzio Ultrajazz DP148. Slightly more lows - good. More treble - more than i need. Balance - problematic. I need a better combination. Any suggestions? Cheap and good if possible - i do not play that bass too often any more.

What do you guys think about the black tuners? I thought they wouldn't look right but the black fingerboard is kinda like a transition from the body to the neck.

I like them but I'd (personally) go ahead and swap out the rest of the hardware for black.
I was considering either that or black tuners. Either way I just spent a lot of money on a neck so I'll hold off for a while.
Black pickguard screws are really cheap on Ebay. Id post the bridge and see if anyone wants to swap you for the same one straight across, boom black hardware. I guess those with OCD swap the neckplate, but who see's that?
